W3D3:
I got a quad cortex to replace my Boss GT-1000 - mostly because I wanted a touch screen and ease of use. I know most folks in GW are traditional with their rigs, and I respect that. But I know my gearhead proclivities, and it's actually less expensive for me to invest in high end modelling than buying multiple amps and peddles. Been struggling with noise issues, especially with the kinds of setting Tomo recommends for practice but finally resolved (mostly).
Went to a jazz club for my bday tonight, so practice was truncated. It was "throwback Thursday," so the house band was running through 60s-90s jazz and R&B numbers. Good times with the fam.
Ran through my normal warm up, then worked Gmaj triads. Played with musical mixing of C/D/G.
Still working on descending 1212 chromatics super slow, and getting the thumb right.
Happy birthday to you Clay. Jazz club, sound fun. I am not a gear head yet, but excited for this next level of gear heading. so much to learn. Have a great week of practice. It is a new year for you.
Happy Birthday Clay! Going to be a great year for all of us
EZ touch screen! Nice score.
The future is now!

Quad Cortex and Beyond!
Thank you Clay for Week / Day 3.
I often suggest this way to all my private students.
Even you need to borrow some money, you need to buy a real tube amp, if you want to be a great guitar player who use a lot of feeling!
I totally respect your point.
But if you own a Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp, you can improve your touch so fast!
Just one simple amp. 2-3 knobs.
I love using my Fender Musicmaster bass amp.
One volume & one tone (brighter or darker)
This amp can fix any string / finger noise issue.
Happy Birthday!
Good times!
Good job!
Tomo
