Thanks for your video submission. We were all eagerly waiting for your July challenge performance. And I had the same experience before joining GW; waisting time in useless stuff and tutorials. Nobody teaches the very fundamentals. Now every step up is like stepping on steady ground. You are a serious rival in this contest. I wish you good luck.

When that time , don't know what is beginner really need and can't build foundation .

You see those material (triads) you can get them from anywhere but you need to know HOW to learn & HOW to APPLY. Plus learn something else around this topic. So happy to see your notes here. Thanks so much for sharing your July Challenge experience. Triad Inversions through One String approch is the best way to learn the fretboard so you will not need to memorize anything! You learn it & you own it!

Hi Andrew. Disagree that you "aren't very good at saying stuff". I always enjoy your posts! I do agree when you talk about how transformative GW and these challenges have been. I don't think any of us are the same guitar player we were when we started.

The no looking is a struggle, I started off not looking which was fun!! One day it will be consistent, good days bad days.
I have never been able to get a good sound from a flat pick until I came here. I mostly did finger picking / classical stuff and bought the Strat decades ago and never played it as I couldn't get it sound ok. So thanks for thinking it sounded ok (the tone that is!)

You got it! Just like you have your own education like going to college (your guitar journey)
3-4 years… that would be great! We can play so many styles so don’t expect too fast! You will learn more things around guitar study! You have been learning guitar at GW so good!

Good job! Now you know how to use your right elbow & soft left hand pressure, thumb position …. and more guitar techniques. Idea is practicing just 5-10 minutes is very good to start and contine but if you wish to do more detail work… then sure you can do 20-30 minutes work on each topic.

I use my notebook everyday. There is no one answer for right or wrong how to write things on your notebook. You can repeat writing same things next day. That’s so fine too! Keep working and best not expect too fast.
