Hi, how can Mr. Fujita bend without noise when doing half steps at a time? he is doing a clean ping-ping-ping, and how should I set my amp to be somewhere near his tone? im using a js22 humbucker and a small laney amp anout 15x15inch
Here is Tomo's reply:
"It’s so important to hear all the details, so when I practice bending, I set my amp very bright! You should try this (my secret!): Treble 10, Middle 5, Bass 0, Reverb 0. On the guitar, tone is always a full 10, and volume is set at 6 - 7. Maybe try using the rear pickup."
How can I do a clean bend? should i pick then bend? or pick when the string is already bent?
Here is Tomo's reply:
"First, make sure that your guitar’s string height is high enough (2 mm at 12th fret). Watch my bending videos closely. I pick a string right before I bend it, so that you can hear it clearly then bend up to the higher note. When bending down, I pre-bend the string and pick, so that I can bend it down to the lower note."
