I'd love to see a lesson from Tomo on mixing major and minor pentatonic scales in the blues and how to go about lpracticing that and incorporating it in my playing. Loving the lessons!
We are happy to learn that you are enjoying the lessons! Here is Tomo's reply:
"Actually, I don’t mix scales like this. I mix blues phrases with some triads or chord tones, or start with chord tones (like Root M3 5 b7), then add passing notes like the 2nd or 6th.
"People believe there is some magic in mixing minor and Major pentatonic scales. Many pro guitar players, who are not great teachers, say, 'Yes, just mix minor and Major pentatonic!' I don't look at it that way.
"Please watch more blues-related lessons on Tomo Fujita Guitar Wisdom, so that you really understand my approach. Follow the chord changes! Thanks!"
