Hi tomo , I noticed you use the boss Rc-1 looper quite a bit, and I’m happy to see that as it’s a great affordable option for looper pedals. I was just wondering if you might sometime do a video lesson around how to get your RC-1 to loop so seamlessly? Like tips around timing etc. Thanks!

Hey MD - I recently also bought a boss RC-1 looper. It is great because it is so simple to use. In terms of getting loops to feel "seamless" that just takes time I think. I have found that counting along with metronome in the background (Google has a free one!) has really helped. My loops are by no means perfect, but this has really helped. Good luck!

I've had the RC1 for a couple of years now and here's my method to creating more seamless loops:
1. Count yourself in and tap the pedal with your right foot to start your loop
2. While you play your loop on your guitar, continue to tap your foot to the quarter notes (1, 2, 3, 4) with your foot off your pedal
3. Subcount especially closely for the last measure (think "1 and 2 and 3 and 4")
4. "AND ONE" move your right foot (which should already be tapping in time) and hit your pedal!
5. Voila! A nice loop! remember to tap your pedal twice if you want to immediately jump into a solo that you don't want to record.

Yeah, I struggled in the beginning with my RC-3. It improved quickly with regular practice. Now I am almost always right on with my timing and seamless loops. It is WELL worth the practice! Just keep working on it daily.
