Hello,
I am a primarily blues player (Chicago style) and cannot seem to get out of the pentatonic boxes for my improvisation, how do I get out?
Here is Tomo's reply:
"It’s simple, yet very difficult. Please watch my theory lessons and triad lessons. Don’t rely on two-octave pentatonic shapes. Focus on playing fewer notes, maybe 2-3 notes. Now you have to use more space (rests) and rhythm. And you can use triads to follow the chord changes. The most important thing: please enjoy your blues playing!"
