Hi Tomo,
After several times through this lesson I started to understand more. At various points of your soloing I was lost because I was trying to figure out what chords you were playing over (even though I understand it's the same chord progression over and over). Eventually, I figured out where everything was fitting in and what degrees of the chord tones you were playing for each phrase. I wished at a few points that the chord names would be on the screen, but if the chord names were on the screen, I may not have dived in to figure it out. So it was good the way you did it. Not for the faint of heart. But I have a passion to understand what is going on, and eventually it was very satisfying to understand the magic behind what is otherwise a blur of coolness and vibe. It was cool to see what pieces of the chord tones you are playing to stitch together a pleasing melody, and then spice it up with some blues. I was surprised to see in a few places how the R M3 5 triads sounded really good and not as basic as I would have expected. This gives me hope in soloing because it's relatively easier to know where the triads are. This was a great lesson. Thank you.

Here is Tomo's reply:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Whenever we put anything new in a lesson, we show chord names, degrees, etc.
"Sometimes you may need to go back a few lessons to see something you have missed. It is always very important to review the lessons and learn chord degrees and intervals deeply.
"The phrasings are pretty simple in this lesson. They were covered in earlier lessons.
"Thanks so much for being patient. That is very important, if you want to understand things deeply, musically. It takes time to sink in. Best not to look for quick answers. Then you will really "get" it.
"Chords with tensions are better sounding … but simple chords (triads) are very clear and nice too! If we learn these, we don’t need a chord book!
"Thanks again for your comment. Nice to hear that this lesson worked for you. Remember, it's all about the triads!"
