Greetings. I am new to this guitar wisdom and I am benefiting a lot from it.
One questions, in lesson 14, you demonstrated a cool funky pattern in A. Starting with the chord voicing b7 M3 5 R (at time 5:30). I find that sometimes you place your finger a little bit differently when playing that voicing through out the progression. It seems like you sometimes stretch the pointy finger a bit upwards the bottom strings (and sometimes the R 5 b7 M3 voicing too. You seem to have reached your pointy finger upwards as well). I was wondering if that was a muting technique for the chords? I tried placing my pointy upwards but it didn't do the trick as I am having a bit problem to mute those voicings. Or perhaps you didn't place your pointy differently it is just in my head. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks again for all the lessons!
Here is Tomo's reply:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. So great to hear that!
"That’s all muting technique, so it looks like I am using certain fingers, but just listen to what you hear and don’t worry about it so much! Between changing chords, I often use my 2nd and 3rd fingers to mute the lower strings."
