Hi, Im currently on lesson 21 (Sunny rythm guitar) I got the rythm down pretty well, but I cant seem to get perfect tone out of some chords(i have a classical guitar and they have wider necks maybe thats the case) , I always get some buzzing or muted strings. Are there some exercises or tips you could give me??
thx in advance
Oscar,
Clear, crisp tone is something that I try to attain. It's my struggle. I notice it gets more difficult the faster I start to play especially when soloing or fingerpicking.
The one thing I do that seems to help (from Tomo's advice) is to slow down and break up a song into small sections and play those sections repeatedly. It's a slow process but it works.
The second tip, I guess, is how to hold your guitar in a comfortable position both in your strumming and neck hands. Tomo's earlier videos contain some tips on where to apply light pressure at the body of the guitar and counter pressure at the neck. You should check out those videos because that seemed to help me.
I, too, have a classical guitar--A Cordoba--as well as other guitars. As to the buzzing sound sometimes old strings, especially nylons, may create some buzzing.
Let us know if you have some more suggestions because I'm focusing on cleaning up my tone.
Thanks
Rick
