Hey I'm just going over the R 3 7 muting technique from lesson 11 and I can't seem to properly mute the B string when I'm playing the D#7 or F7 chord. Now I tried to roll my finger down so it effectively mutes the E string but the B string is only sort of half muted and creates this harmonic sound which doesn't sound nice. If I roll my fingers further down I can get rid of this noise but then I end up muting the D string with my middle finger. Now, I've found that I can use my pinky finger to mute the string however it is uncomfortable for me to do and I can see Tomo doesn't use his pinky finger to mute the B string in the video. So, I'm just wondering if anybody can help me with this problem please.

Try to make your index a little straighter than the middle and ring fingers so that the pad of your index is the part that is pressing on the D string, not the tip. Forward to 4:50 of the lesson 11 video and pause it so you can see how Tomo does it.
You can also try the open C7 chord shape (like when Tomo showed the D7 shape at 1:50 of the video) but instead of using your index for root on the B string, use it to lightly barre the strings to mute them.
Great advice, thank you!
