Hello Tomo. As someone that has has no formal training but have played guitar for almost 15 years one of the things that sounds very simple but I have always struggled with is practicing with a metronome. If I am playing a song that has a certain tempo, I have a really hard time progressing through the chords with the metronome, not knowing if I am supposed to strum on every click or two times per click, etc. If I hear a backing drum track at that tempo, I find it natural and instinctive to keep time, but not with the metronome. I think it would be a very helpful beginning lesson to go over the basics of metronome and what it means if something is at say 100 bpm, and what it would sound like to practice a song with a metronome. Thanks in advance, Dave

"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Using a metronome is simple, yet it’s very deep. All you need to do is to find a comfortable slow tempo in four-four first. Play chords or a bass line with that tempo, maybe 80-100 BPM. Then you can try setting a metronome to accent beats 2 & 4 (with 40-50 BPM). Please see Lessons 11 and 12. I will post more videos that show how to use a metronome."
