Dear Tomo,
I have a question about your strumming technique for R 3 7 groove which uses more of an arm motion and less wrist. Would it be applicable in other genres of music, not only in funk, but in pop, rock, or R&B; or even in playing simple open chords such as Cmaj, or Dmaj? I have not yet developed a solid strumming technique and was thinking it was maybe too early for me to learn funk strumming technique. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Dozy
Here is Tomo's reply:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. This strumming technique with Root 3rd 7th is really great for all styles. It is great to have as a part of your foundation. You can try to apply it to any music with a slow tempo."
