Is there a difference between major triads and diatonic triads?!

I wrote down the diatonic traids and noticed they're the same as the major triads (using C Major scale).

I feel like I'm making it harder than it really is. Any feedback ,much appreciated \m/

This might help. I am on the same lesson but this is how I understand it so far... Tomo is essentially playing a C scale down the neck in triad form. In order to make it diatonic, you need to play each one either as a major or a minor. How do you find out which triads should be major and which should be minor? Apply Maj, Min, Min, Maj, Maj, Min, Dim over top of the notes of the scale. Example: C scale is CDEFGAB... apply Major, Minor, Minor, Major, Major, Min, Dim over top of those notes in that order. So you have now C Dm Em F G Am Bdim... these would be your C diatonic triads.

My main man Sam! Applying the Maj and min over the top notes made me realize what Dec said in the following comments. Thank you for the advice \m/

The word diatonic means 'within a key' so with this in mind the diatonic triads of the C major scale are the triads that fit in to that key.

A triad consists of the 1st 3rd and 5th starting from the root note. In the major scale it can be either major minor or diminished

Major triad: 1 3 5
Minor triad: 1 flat3 5
Diminished 1 b3 b5

C major scale Triads(Same if you change key): Root Major; 2nd Minor; 3rd Minor; 4th Major; 5 Major; 6 Minor; 7th Diminished.

In answer to your question, major triads make up some of the diatonic triads in C major. (see above)

Id advice starting right at the beginning and working your way through the lessons in order. Take each lesson slowly and only move on when you feel comfortable.
