Are there any exercises I can do to improve my melodic phrasing? I've watched the videos on blues soloing and phrasing, and I understand the concept of phrasing around triads, but how can I actually get better at phrasing? I'm currently practicing triads, ear training with with different modes to understand intervals, and R37 swing / 4-note dom7 chord blues progression to hear the chord changes. Is there more I can do to specifically improve my phrasing? Thanks so much!
Here is Tomo's reply:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. I plan to make more phrasing-related lesson videos. Meanwhile, learn to play a melody with limitation on the range of notes, varied rhythm, and rests. And always watch out for the end of a phrase. How long should it be sustained?"
