I don't remember in which video Tomo recommends some jazz guitarists, but the ones I remember and really liked listening to would be: Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, George Benson and Charlie Christian.
If you are completely new to jazz I personally would suggest listening to artists playing other instruments aswell. The young Miles Davis is always a great starting point in my opinion, because his melodic phrasing is often times very clean, beautiful and more easy to follow than something fast and complex as Joe Pass. My Recommendation: Miles Davis Quintet - Relaxin' for example or anything of the 50s Miles. also Chet Baker was a good introduction to jazz for me. This is quite personal but I benefited from listening to some older jazz artists to understand what jazz is based on(like early Miles, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington etc.). Listen to the melodies of Chet or singers like Ella Fitzgerald. When you listen to some Joe Pass afterwards, everything will make more sense in my opinion, since his interpretations are like I said more complex. these are just my opinions and there are really a lot more great artists that come to my mind but those should suffice for the start. hopefully I did not offend anybody by this :)
