Firstly, i would like to say thanks so much for the videos. You always have a nice slow lesson that I can understand and then you break into your solo and don't really explain how your solo relates to the overall context of the lesson. For example, for the diminished triad video, I don't understand what you are doing in the end and how it relates to diminished triads. Can you explain the connection a little better for the beginners? Thanks so much
I agree with this - I'd also like a touch more guidance about how the solos apply concepts from the lesson. That would really help me to start connecting knowledge of scales with knowledge of triads.
Thank you very much for your lessons, Tomo, they are great.
Ahh ok well now I see that you are playing just D diminished triads in different inversions in the beginning so i guessss i see the connection. But usually i am just trying to play the solos by ear without complete understanding of what is going on. I guess connections will be made in my head if I keep doing this and keep trying.
I ask too much. Thanks so much for providing the lessons. I am lucky enough to get what is here you don't have to change anything just because I am too stupid to understand haha.
best,
Dan
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. The playing example is about mixing ideas for improvisation. Listen for diminished triads in the playing example, and you will understand how I like to use them. I will post more improvisation ideas in upcoming videos."
