It's been around 2 months since I've transitioned from an acoustic to an electric guitar and am having difficulty regarding guitar tone and settings like equalizers and all. I follow a schedule while practicing and the only little problem is guitar tone. So, a lesson or any advice on guitar tone would really be helpful. Regarding guitar tone I am just exploring it on my own and experimenting different settings.
You might want to add what make and model you’re playing . Tomo has a guitar amp setup lesson under foundation lessons
Go to a guitar store that let's you play. Play many amps and many guitars- find what you like and consider buying it. Alternatively, just buy a quality FX processor and dial in and save a tone you like. You can use headphones as well. It should not be that hard to find something you like. The Boss Katana amp has a USB which lets you edit many sounds on your PC and cotnrol the amp. You can save these tones in banks and also import other pre-made tones that are included and often mimic popular tones.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. See Lesson 12. I recently made another video about settings for your guitar and amp. It will be posted soon.
"Basically, try to get a brighter tone from your amp: Treble at 6-7, Bass around 4. Guitar Tone should be all the way up, and guitar Volume should be around 7-8."
