It seems to me that the lesson for diminished triads is in a very weird place (Theory 24). Wouldn't the logical progression be for students to first learn Major Triads (then do some practical application with songs and solos), then Minor, Diminished, Augmented? Putting it all in one series would have really helped me.

I want my students to be very familiar with Major triads first, so that the other triads are easy to learn. After almost thirty years of teaching, I believe this approach works for most students."
