Hello,
I am very new to guitar theory and I was just playing around E minor and A minor chords and their scales. Surprisingly, I figured out this line for an old song I know, it goes like this:
B Eb Gb A G Gb-G(like a hammer) E, with B starting from A on the 2nd string, Eb and the rest of the notes are on D, starting from the first string.
I thought it was an E minor scale with F#s but the Eb is confusing me. If anyone is available, could you point out what chord/scale this line is based on?
Follows B7 chord - with G being raised 5th
Good idea Konstantin. I hear a little B Mixolydian (Except for Gb passing hammer to G)
If instead the G hammers to G#, then, Emaj chord to B7 sounds a little Joe Cockerish.
B Mixolydian(E Maj) = (1-B) (3-Eb/D#) (5-Gb/F#) (b7-A) (?6-Ab/G#?) (4-E) (1-B)
thank you for the reply, I will look them up.
