This lesson was dense and nutrient rich. I would call it guitar superfood. After coming back to the video a few times, I finally see how the melodic minor spawns the Lydian b7 and altered scales. It was interesting to see Tomo use the notes of the F# altered scale playing over C7, or B altered playing over F. I had no idea what was going on but I recognized the altered phrase from an earlier lesson. Sure enough, the altered scale is the 7th mode of the melodic minor. This lesson was just about all I could handle mentally and it was very challenging, but I will definitely be coming back to it to revisit the really cool Lydian b7 phrases.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much! I am glad that you enjoyed this lesson. I will post more 'fun phrasing' lessons."
