I will start this off by saying I respect Tomo as a guitar player, he plays wonderfully and has an impressive and long list of students who have all been successful. That being said . . . I think these lessons would do well being more explicit.

I think you would agree that the Beginner Series, Sight-Reading Series, and Theory videos are truly basic and quite explicit. However, the blues, jazz, funk and other lesson videos are premised on the idea that you already have some foundational knowledge. The Tomo Fujita Original Music lessons are intended for players with a little more experience. You may be able to fill the gaps in your knowledge by studying the basic lessons here at Guitar Wisdom, or with materials available at berkleepress.com.

Yes, I understand it is for more experienced players, and I would consider myself at a level where I understand what tomo is saying about intervals and scales. For the videos in the blues series what frustrates me is that I think I am already familiar with the concepts that he is explaining, but I find it quite difficult to tell because there is a lack of explicit outline in the videos.

We are working on a new Guitar Wisdom site, which will be hosted on a different platform. I think the lessons are extremely well crafted and VERY explicit; this website is wonderful and I'm very grateful to have found it.
