I understood the theory behind the triads, it’s clear to me. I wonder what is the theory behind creating those beautiful leaks using the triads, is there any way to help me understand more?
The theory behind the leaks are the triads. Let me explain.
So lets say you're playing a C triad. You play the root, then you can play either the 3rd or the 5th, or maybe play the note 2 steps infront of the 5th (6th), or maybe use the 3rd and then the 7th, etc, etc.
You just play around the notes in that triad. A triad is basically a way to know where the notes are in the fretboard, making you able to play things that make sense. Just think of it as a fraction of a scale.
Edit: Lesson 16 talks about this! Just keep progressing through lessons in order, and eventually Tomo will explain this to you.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. I will make more triad-related improvisation lesson videos."
