Hi there folks
I just joined. I'm in north Leeds. Have been playing guitar most of my life ( I'm 58 ) but have recently got more interested in developing my jazz blues skills so I signed up after watching some of Tomos stuff on YT.
I'm keen on learning how to apply jazz scales and altered sounds in blues.

Played acoustic guitar for around 15 years. Played alot of open tuning but since buying an american strat and subscribing with tomo last year I've been playing mostly blues, jazz and funk on my loop pedal which has been really good. Been listening to lots of blues artists, joe pass, Charlie Parker, ray Charles, Elvis and Kurt vile recently.
Would love to start meeting and playing with people on a weekly basis and enjoy music even more 😁

I joined a few months ago and am learning music theory for the first time through the course but wanted to reach out since a few other students and I have been working to make a small community of our studies through Discord, I will share a link below. The group there has a section for discussion, questions, gear/guitars as well as sharing music and a voice channel for people to jam while still locked down.
