I watched a couple of the theory videos and it wasn't really explained clearly why some notes are sharp and some notes are flat. I googled it and found a good answer and wanted to share it with you. Maybe it can be added to one of the early theory videos. Thanks!
"The simple answer is that in any major or minor scale we always use the letter names in ascending sequence (C D E F G A B C, etc.)
It follows, therefore, that in the key of F major the fourth degree of the scale must be Bflat, rather than A#:
Correct: F G A Bflat C D E F
Incorrect: F G A A# C D E F"
