Hey there!
Tomo talks about recording yourself from time to time and usually, he promotes his old cassettes. Honestly, I don't want to buy a cassette recorder. So, what are you doing?

Hello!
Recording yourself is more about getting a different perspective on what you sound like and a fresh listen to what you do well and what needs more work. You can use your phone or if you have a microphone on your computer with the voice memo or camera application and do not need specific recording equipment.
I personally have a separate microphone on my computer that I would use to talk with friends previously and it works well for recording. If you decide to go that route, there are free applications like Audacity for recording and some basic sound editing that you can download if it will make the process easier. I use Ardour6 which is a free Digital Audio Workstation since I like to record some of the sounds I like and add multiple tracks together but am still learning it all.
Hope it helps!
I had a clue, that my cellphone will do the job!
I’ve used my phone but I actually prefer an inexpensive digital recorder that I bought a few years ago. Not great audio but it is really convenient.
Looper pedals are very convenient for this. Any cheap one will do.
