Dear Tomo and others who wish to help,
I am having a little trouble understanding what good left hand muting should look like. I was reading the booklet "Accelerate Your Guitar Playing" by Tomo and in the Before You Begin section, it reads "When playing on the 5th string, for example, use the tip of your index finger to mute the 6th string by touching it lightly. At the same time, use the side of your hand (along the pinky) to mute the higher strings (4 through 1)". Should I then be using the under side of my pinky to mute the higher strings, rather than the under side of my index finger? Or do I combine both, muting the higher strings with my index and pinky finger? I would just like some clarification as to the correct left hand muting technique.
Thank you,
Dozy
