Hey I'm not really following how its a diminished lick (2:30 timestamp)
The chord is Eb7, and the notes relative to Eb are -
Db (flat7)
E (flat2)
G(maj3)
Bb (5th)
C(maj6)
Db-D (Minor7-Maj7)

Is the diminished aspect of it because it contains an E diminished chord?(E-G-Bb-Db/D) What "Rules" allow us to use a E diminished lick over Eb7?
