Tomo Fujita Guitar Wisdom

I've watched the video a number of times and got the basic structure of the Jazz Blues, but then I get lost in all the variations on the theme.

I'm trying to figure out why my takeaway should be from that lesson, so I know if what I practiced made sense. I think I got the basic gist of it, but may need to come back to it later.

Here is Tomo's comment:

"Whenever you have difficulty with a lesson, (1) slow down, (2) play simply, and (3) go back a few steps. In this lesson, the key is to be able to play Root 3rd 7th chords/swing groove over blues chord changes and jazz blues chord changes."
