I’m trying to find the best way to mute adjacent strings when playing triads. For example when playing strings 2-3-4, mute the 5th with the tip of the index finger and the 1st with the underside of the index. Or would it be better to learn to mute the lower strings with the right hand palm? It seems impossible at this point to only hit the exact 3 strings of the triad without accidentally hitting one of the others when you’re strumming very fast and energetically.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Muting is very hard, and developing your technique is very important! The best method is to use a dry tone from your amp. No reverb! (I don’t use any reverb when I practice!) Play triads slowly, so that you can really hear what’s going on."
