Tomo Fujita Guitar Wisdom

Hi Tomo,

I am from Singapore and I find your lessons very insightful here at Guitar Wisdom. I have a question for you, that is: can you help me figure out why my electric guitar is always buzzing on all of my strings at the 13th fret? I tried changing the strings, using different brand of string and I am sure that it is not my technique that is causing this.

String: Ernie Ball 10-46
Amp: Vox mini3 g2

Also, as a side question, how do I maintain my electric guitar? Some of the parts are rusting, and I am not sure how I can remove it. Thanks!

Hi,

I think Tomo did a few videos about basic guitar setup (truss rod, string height, intonation). I suggest doing this first.

Here is Tomo's reply:

"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Try raising the string height to 2.00 mm at the 12th fret. Make sure that the guitar neck is straight. Maybe you need to adjust the intonation, by moving the saddles."
