While practicing Tomo's minor triads this morning I had an ah-ha moment-- those minor triads map the minor pentatonic scale positions. I used to navigate the minor pentatonic patterns by knowing the root note positions in each pattern, adding knowledge of the minor triads really helps to keep you from getting lost.
