For the sixth string root are 3 7 cord, I have been using fingers one, two, and four. Yet, in your lesson video, I see that you recommend fingers two, three, and four. This felt unnatural for me at first but I persisted and now can use either fingerings. However, I really do prefer string fingers one, two, and fourfor this cord. Is there any pressing reason why I should use fingers two, three, and four and abandon my original fingering? I do use fingers two, three, and four for the fifth string routed are 3 7 quarts.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thank you so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom, Many guitar techniques are a little bit uncomfortable at first. It will take some time, but I highly recommend that you use Fingers 2 3 4 for the R 3 7 chord with the Root on the 6th string. This way, your 1st finger will be FREE to mute other strings."
Thanks Tomo and George! I have a question about the other chord, the IV and V chord.
I am having trouble playing this chord with fingers 1-2-3 as shown, because the 2nd string falls in the crook of my first finger - so I have trouble muting that string when also fretting. Is there a reason to play it this way, versus playing it with fingers 2-3-4 and using 1st finger to mute?
