Hey Tomo! In some of your lessons you go into great detail about guitar tone and amp settings. One thing that I have not been able to find your knowledge on is Gain control. My particular amp has a Volume, Treble, Bass, and a Gain knob. Do you recommend using the gain and if so, what would be the ideal setting?

"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Volume controls the overall loudness of the amp. Gain is more like overdrive without a pedal . . . pushing the amp. So, with more Volume and less Gain, you will have a clean tone. With more Gain and less Volume, you will have an overdrive tone -- distortion.
"Try your amp both ways! Turn the Volume all the way up, and adjust the sound with the Gain knob, for a clean tone. Then, set the Gain at a sweet spot like 11:00, and adjust the sound with the Volume control."
