I saw a new device at 18:04 which is adding a chromatic (Bb) slide into to the B note, of the CMaj7th over A-7 device. I would never have thought of using that slide, but it adds the b9 of A, thus suggesting to the ear a passing hint of A7 instead of the A-7 chord which is playing.

Tomo, hearing this lick is so cool because it helps me add a new flavor when I am using the "up a 3rd" device.
