In case it helps somebody, it sounds like the lick being taught at and before 10:47 is from A melodic minor and sounds a lot like a D Lydian b7 lick from another lesson (Thus, helping to solidify the link between the melodic minor on the i minor and the Lydian b7 on the IV.)
Tomo's consistency and stellar teaching method is on display because it leaves these little breadcrumbs to pick up on as I rewatch lessons again and again.
