I am thoroughly enjoying Guitar Wisdom and really appreciate Tomo and the team putting together these videos (and the youtube videos). I’ve learned a lot. I also struggle with palm muting and picking - either too much (totally muted string or partially muted string). - this particular example is during If I do not palm mute - I get a sort of hum in the low e string. So, I find myself moving my hands to different positions to trying to correct it - relatedly, Tomo suggests that the picking is flat against the string (which definitely makes a cleaner sound) so I find myself searching to find the right position/place to put my picking (right hand) - all kinds of angles, wrist bends, etc. I enjoy the challenge of working toward that clean sound “no noise” - I wonder if there is something simple that I am missing, some fundamental that I can work on to correct this and repeat naturally so I don’t have to think about it all the time.
