Greetings Tomo, George, all!
About a week or so ago I watched Tomo's YouTube video about Berklee auditions and he mentioned about levels...or grades..if you will...1-8..
I have been "playing" for some time now...but still only consider myself level 1...maybe approaching 2? I'm not sure...Im going slow..learning "do, re, mi" all over the neck...so thats why i say i must be at level 1...more understanding on the levels is needed.
But I purchased 2 of Tomo's books...Triad Approach For Guitar...which is entirely in Japanese... And Tomo's guitar etude book...should I begin working on etudes now??
I can do some with tabs...should I wait to level up first?? I love Tomo's teaching style...and how he emphasizes learning without tabs and all that...learning to listen really...its like learning how to paint by numbers...and then learning to paint with a blank canvas...I don't ever want to go back to paint by numbers (tabs) again!! Lol
Thanks all!! Much love!
