Hi,
I am new to electric guitar and I noticed that noise control is very important, but when moving up and down between strings, I often found myself muting the wrong strings.
For example, when playing A string, I only want to mute E, when playing D string, I want to mute both E and A, etc. But I can't do it accurately, always mute wrong number of strings. Can someone give me some advices?
Thanks.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. Muting is important, but it's very difficult to master. When you practice, your guitar tone should be a little bright and loud, so that you can listen for unwanted noise. Many lessons in the Sight-Reading Series emphasize muting technique. Please watch the video below. I made it as a supplement for Guitar Wisdom subscribers."
Thank you so much! Guess I have to practice more!
