Hi Tomo,

I hope you're doing well! A quick question:

I'm finding the 5th string rooted R 3 7 chord super difficult. It's hard to mute the 6th and 2nd strings, without also muting the 4th string!

Is it okay to learn it like this instead?
- 1st finger free to lay across and mute all strings like in 6th string rooted R37 chord.
- 3rd finger on 5th string
- 2nd finger on 4th string
- 4th finger on 3rd string

That feels immediately easier, but I wonder if there is some important downside that I don't know?

Well, I'm just going to assume that there is probably a good reason to do it like Tomo does. Probably more practice is the answer.
