Hello,
I am an advanced player looking for a recommendation for a solid warm up routine. I jump around and switch up my warm up routine quite often, but was seeing what others do to warm up, as well as what Tomo would recommend. Thanks!
Hello,

For me it really depends, sometimes I play the third for the whole scale, or sixth, octaves or I play Barry Harris's chromatic scale, or whatever I wanna practice, play the R37 chords for blues, bird blues, or maybe just triads and connect them within a simple progression, it would be fun and challenging for warm-up.
Here is Tomo's comment:
"Thanks so much for subscribing to my Guitar Wisdom. As you advance, practice playing slowly, so that you learn to play smoothly with less finger pressure. I still practice two things every day:
"(1) Chromatic scale fingering exercise: UP 1212 3212 3432 1234 DOWN 4343 2343 2123 4321. I play super slowly and insanely softly to use less finger pressure and develop accurate alternate picking.
"(2) R 3 7 Swing Groove with a metronome on Beats 2 & 4.
"You can also play some Jazz Standards, or practice challenging tempos from super slow to super fast. A routine like this will keep you really busy every day!"
