Hello,
I am bit stuck because I do not know when I should watch a new lesson or when to keep focusing on the lessons I already watched so I keep repeating the same exercises over and over.
I feel I get a solid understanding of the topics, but having them automatically in my fingers is something different.
When do you know when to move to the next video/lesson? how do you know that you have mastered the topic enough that you can start adding more?
For example how do I know that I know enough of the C major scale that I can now look at D-Dorian or G-Mixolydian.
Or how do I know that I know enough of triads on 5/6th string that I can move to next positions in other strings?
Do you think is better to know a few topics and putting them in the practice routine (maybe learning some modes of the major scale and every day practice a different one) or better to fully master one topic and then add a new one to focus on and once in a while review the already mastered topics?
I guess a mix of the 2, but the question remain. How do I know that I know enough to move onto the next topic.
I would like to know the community's approach (and maybe Tomo's take on it). Thank you
