Hi, I bought an electronic version of the Real Book from Hal Leonard. The lead sheet for Autumn Leaves is A minor/key of G major. Tomo is playing this in the C minor. I'm just wondering why the Hal Leonard version did that? Or did I buy the wrong version of the Real Book?
My old 6th edition hardcopy of the Real Book has it in the key of G (1 sharp).
The description underneath the video does say that he is playing it in a different key (G minor / Bb major, 2 flats) and to use a different source to follow along.
There is a transcription here, but it is a better exercise to transpose it yourself or transcribe it directly from Tomo's video and write it in your notebook.
Thanks Brad!
I missed that text about Tomo changing the key. Within the video itself they had some red text that did not mention changing the key.
So he changed it to the key of Bb/C minor, that should help me a lot to be able to transpose the chords, thanks!
