Hi Tomo,

In JS15 Donna Lee 11:12 to 11:14 over C7 (which is at the 5th measure of the B section), I heard what I think is a B diminished 7 line over C7. Am I understanding that correctly, and if so, can you explain why that works, or if it's something else, what device were you using?

From what I can tell on the video, I think the G-7b5 is approximated with a Gdim and the C7b9 is just the same dim chord a minor third lower (sans the C root), so most of the notes in the diminished phrases are consonant with the underlying chord tones.
