First about me. I've been playing on and off for about 25 years now (mostly off), and still haven't learned anything :D
Last couple of years I've tried a couple of times to go back to basics to actually learn how to play.
I've tried Jamplay, Guitartrix etc. and now Im here. To me, it always stops after the absolute beginner stuff. I don't know where to go from there and get confused about the path Im supposed to go.
So I've already seen many other posts about this, but seems like there's been some rearrangement of the lessons in here.
Ex. "First do the beginner series, then foundation1 and Theory one"
But There is no foundation one, and the theory 1 seems like advanced stuff since it pretty much goes straight into modes.
I started with beginner, then jumped over to Foundation triads and a couple of theory-lessons. Already on lesson 2 of triads, Tomo says if you don't know Bb blues go back to beginner or theory. And I can't really find any basic blues lessons there.
So any updated suggestions to my path ahead?
Yeah, a messy post, but my head is a mess right now:)
Other than that I really enjoy Tomo´s teaching and playing. Just hope I can find a good path through his lessons so I don't end up giving up again , and go back to just playing powerchords LoL
I started the 26th December 2022, went through the very first video, stopped on Sight Reading coz I need to buy the book, bought the Leavitt Vol 1, and I was stuck. I need to learn notes on every string which is not in Leavitt book, so I bought another book from Music and Arts store. If you don't have foundation in reading notes, you can't follow Leavitt's book. You need to know the notes on 1st string, 2nd string, up to 6th string. Otherwise, you will not follow the book used by Tomo on the video.
