Can someone explain to me where and how to play them with bar chords cause the video is confusing me.

They relate to the major scale. If your in the key of C then C is 1. D is 2. E is 3. F 4. G 5. A 6. B is 7. Then it starts over again. C being 1 or 8 an octave higher. D being 2 or 9 if it’s an octave higher and so on. It can apply to single notes or chords. There is also a formula to follow if it’s major minor or diminished. The major scale follows the pattern of 1major 2minor 3minor 4major 5major 6minor 7diminished. The 5 chord is usually played as a dominant chord leading nicely back to the 1 chord which is the root of the scale. Sounds complicated but once you understand it it’s not so confusing. Jazz is a lot of 2 5 1 progressions. So that would mean you play a d minor or d minor 7, then G major or G dominant 7, then a C major or C major 7. The seventh note adds some more flavor to the chord. Sounds nicer depending on the sound your trying to achieve . Hope this helps you.
