i've been playing guitar for a year and a half, mostly learning from the internet, and recently i feel kind of stuck, so i subscribe this lesson from matser tomo, and i got some questions:
(1) i'm kind of familarize with the fretboard (only C major scale, no accidentals), it normally takes me about 1 second to work out what the note is. So how well should i know the fretboard? Is this enough for me to start learning triads or some other stuffs?
(2) i'm kind of familarize with triad already, i know the degrees of the notes within the triad, and i mostly loacte the triad by knowing where the next root note is, and then build the whole triad based on their intervals , is this the right way to learn triad? i 've watched the first 2 videos in "foundation - triad", but i still have little idea about what should i be thinking when i'm going to play the next triad
(3) i've been doing some ear training for a while, i can identify the 7 intervals (M2, M3, P4, P5, M6, M7, Octave) from the major scale, and i've been singing and praticing solfege for some time, but i am still having a hard time to dictate a melody, normally when im doing this, i find out what the "tonic - do" is first, then i compare ervery other notes to the tonic individually to find out what their degrees are.Is this the right way to dictate a melody?

1) Scale Knowledge: Stay on one string and be able to play Major scale (2nd string, C Major scale)
Then you can change to any scales. Dorian, Mixolydian, 3 minors... etc.
2) Triad inversions. Try to play 3 invasions against each chords. Top 3 stings first then 234 set. 345/456 set too.
Can you play Bb Blues? G D Em C ... very smoothly? Any directions. Need to know Do Mi So / R M3 5 and be able to sing them.
3) I think you are doing well. But you need to mix more ideas. Not only Major scale. This can apply when you practice playing scales on one string. Should be able to sing any scales from same root.
Don't think too much yet stay a little longer on each topic is good.
