Tomo, I so love your teaching & playing style! Thank you so much :)
I am focusing on refining muting: been doing chromatic practice multiple times daily for over a month and doing much better; learning blues swing; and bb blues shuffle.
I am going very slow and carefully when playing the shuffle and getting better at muting but looking for finer points, especially on how best to use middle and ring to mute.
I've watched several related videos that I can find here and also on Tomo's youtube, which are extremely helpful but wondering if there is one that goes into more detail on the how the middle/ring muting works with the index and pinkie?
Thanks so much for your kind words! You're very welcome!
Good job on chromatic scale. Do only 4th string & 3rd string so you can really work on your right hand palm muting for 5th & 6th strings. Very effective.
Best way to develop a good sense of left hand muting technique is to master R 3 7 Swing groove with Bb Blues or E blues.. any keys.
This exercise will help you your left hand muting technique so well. I practice this every day!
Yes, several videos.
