Dear Tomo:
Hello,
I hope this comment finds you well. I am reaching out to inquire about some matters and would greatly appreciate your assistance and guidance. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. Thank you very very much!
#Body Caring
1.I feel heavy standing with my electric guitar on. Would you feel the same?
#Picking
2.Does picking speed increase naturally? Or I need some extra exercise to get that?
3.To avoid noise, I try 2 things: 1)release pressure before my finger tips leave; 2)move my next finger tips a little earlier to mute strings. Is it right?
4.Do you use only one type of pick? How to choose size and thickness?
5.Can I use economic picking together with alternate picking? If so, how to choose them? I sometimes feel confused when watching your videos because I can't follow your right hand movement. Sorry!
#Performing
6.What are the important things that I should know to be a good performer in public? Please tell me the secrets!
7.How to practice more efficiently given that I'm not a big hand guy?
8.How do you practice chord change and make it as smooth as possible?
#Ear Training
9.Two notes ringing together is OK, but three is difficult especially the note in the middle. Somehow they are really muddy. What's wrong?
10.Jesus the last question finally! Hope you don’t get mad at me. It’s about the way I’m thinking of guitar. I really like the idea that you said: DEGREE is important. So instead of thinking of letter name(like C, E, G), I prefer degree name(like M3, P5, m7). But don’t worry because I’ve memorized note names across the whole fretboard. Then, If I want to play like e minor scale, I would go straight for the degree name(1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, b7, 1) and visualize them on the fretboard, although not very quickly right now. Would you please tell me if I’m doing right or wrong? I want to confirm myself to practice hard and get the thing!
Best regards,
A self-taught guy from China.
