So I am having difficult time muting out C 5 string while playing the next E fourth string- its like they both get muted or both not- find it very difficult to palm mute just the C?
Thanks so much for subscribing Guitar Wisdom.
Maybe your left hand fingers angle. This is not easy to do.
Be patient and try to use a little different angle of your each left fingers.
Practice chromatic scale on 4th & 3rd strings everyday 5-10 minutes fo finger flexibility.
Thank you.

Thank you Tomo- honored to be here! So in th video you referenced palm muting when playing E on 4th string- I think here you are talking about using left hand finger too. mute. I did see the video on Chromatic 4 and 3 rg- will do. thx!
You're very welcome! Left hand finger, 1st finger tip can mute one string above and your right hand palm mute all lower strings that you are not playing.
This will take some times because you can not think to do this... you need to feel it.
Thank you.
Tomo
Also - I am wondering on chromatic Exercise- does first finger mute string 5 and 321 while playing on string 4? I can position finger 1-to hold down note on string 4- while l I mute string 5 - and lightly bar 321- not sure if this is how you mute on this chromatic exercise ?
Definitely you should practice chromatic scale on 4th and 3rd strings. Everyday! Just 10 minutes! for 90 days!
