The Leavitt / Berklee book 1 / note reading series was very helpful. Are you considering creating a series to go through Book 2? Thanks, JM
Thank you so much for subscribing Guitar Wisdom.
So happy to hear that. Basically once you did read the Volume one book... then you can do the volume two by yourself!
Maybe, maybe not. No plan that yet. More things we need to update.
Thank you.
Tomo
Just beginning Volume 1. I really find the videos helpful. Thank you, Tomo!
So happy to hear that!
Volume one is all you need!
You're very welcome!
Thank you.
Tomo
Nice to meet you, Jimmy and Tom!
I've just started volume 1, too.
I think it's a very well thought out text.
I'm having a lot of fun working through it.
I would like to continue learning more deeply.
Let's keep going!
Dear Tomo:
I should have written this post months ago. I am so grateful you took the time to create the video lessons on Wm Leavitt's Book 1. Countless of times, I got stuck on a lesson and gave up in frustration because I had no one to show me how to play it or what it was to sound like. You solved that problem for me.
With gratitude,
Michael Kimber
I appreciate the sight-reading section too Michael Kimber!
The hand holding I need to keep going. Tomo makes it so fun.
Sure love being a student here with everyone.
Kurt
Thank you Kurt!
Tomo
Thank you Michael!
So happy to hear that.
You answered it correct.
You cannot learn this book by yourself alone!
Great book to learn about muting techniques.
Good job!
Thank you.
Tomo
Hello Tomo. I have a question for you. Do you have to happen William Leavitt's Book ''A Modern Method For Guitar 2''. If so, I have a question regarding the page 35. What would the sentence '' The low register limit for all dominant 7 forms on this page is Ab (Possibly G). What would that mean on chords such as B7(b5), B7, B9, B7(+9, +5), B13, B9(+5), B7(+9,b5)? I cannot see the Ab or G note in any of those chords. So, my question would be what does the sentence 'The low register limit for all dominant 7 chords on this page is Ab, possibly G? Thank you very much
Thank you Jokov for this question.
I do. Don't worry about that too much!
Some of chord concepts were a little old.
Best to learn good sounding chords in music (in songs)
B7(b5) = R b7 M3 b5
B7 = R b7 M3 5 or R 5 b7 M3
B9 = R M3 b7 9 or M3 b7 9 5
B7(b13/#9) = R b7 M3 b13 #9 or R M3 b7 #9 b13
B13 = R b7 M3 13
B9/b13 = R b7 M3 b13 9 or R M3 b7 9 b13
I only use Volume One here.
Thank you.
Tomo
Don't worry :-)
Yes!
Thank you!
Tomo
